We opened our small deli in Wausau without much attention, just hoping to share the kind of food we grew up with. It’s not a big place, but it means everything to us. We run it together while raising our young daughter, who spends her days nearby, watching us cook and growing up in the warmth of the kitchen. I love making sweets and cooking dishes from memory, while we carefully manage the finances and work side by side to keep everything going. Every meal we serve—whether it’s Thai, Lao, Hmong, or Vietnamese—is made with care and a piece of who we are. Some days are slow, and it’s not always easy. But no matter what, we show up and do our best for every person who walks through our door. This deli may be small, but it holds our hard work, our culture, and our hope for something better.
